SKIING in the Zell am See - Kaprun region in Pinzgau means a wide variety of ski resorts, so many slopes and lifts that you never need to ski twice on the same one and so many ski huts that you would need to visit several every single day to see them all.  

Directly from Rieder Guesthouse, you can take the ski bus free of charge to the next ski resort!

CROSS-COUNTRY SKIIERS have almost 50 km of trails in the Zell am See - Kaprun region alone - be it for classic cross-country skiing or skating. 

If you need more, you can even go beyond the region, e.g. to the Saalachtalregion in Salzburg and on to Bavaria. Or you can go to Hochfilzen in Tirol, the mecca of biathletes, where you can complete a world championship trail. Here, there is a guestbiathlon stand, which invites you for shooting. 

And for floodlit cross-country skiers, there is a trail right in front of the house, which is illuminated until 22:00!
